Kelly & Grant: Engaged

{Ash-a-ley}
There is nothing like seeing a man who knows how to cherish the woman in his life.   A man who tells her she is his world, but he honestly has no need to say a word, because his actions say it all.  This is what I see when I see Kelly & Grant.  I have known Kelly for a long, long time.   Eleven years to be exact.    Knowing her entire family, I know she comes from good people.  Anyone marrying into this big family should know how lucky they are.  I could hear it in Grant's words.   I could see it in his actions.   He knows how lucky he is, and this is one couple I am not only proud to call my friends, I am honored to be there to capture this big love.    September 8th will be here before we know it!!
Look at these beautiful piercing blue eyes!!!    LOVE!
Thank you two for trusting me when I asked you to lay down on the concrete basketball court as your neighbor looked at us with a concerned, "Are they CrayCray?" look.   This pic turned out to be one of my favorites of the day. :)
Then we headed to where Kelly & Grant had their first date, JP's.    If anyone is from around the area, you know it's not exactly the first date spot, it' s more of a hole in the wall/sports bar.....maybe 4th date kind of place.   :)   Long story.....plans got switched around, and somehow they ended up meeting here instead of their original meeting place.   It is a place that will always be special to the two of them, and each and every time they look back on that night fate brought them to JP's instead of whatever fact restaurant they had in mind, they will look back and smile.

Engaged: Sara and Jared

"Lucky I'm in love with my best friend.  Lucky to have been where I have been."
Lucky.Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillet

Fate, Destiny, Meant to be, Luck....whatever you call it....I believe in the possibility that there may be a predetermined course to the future.  Sure, things may change, get in the way, or life may not work out the way you thought it may....but when it comes down to it....if something is meant to be, it finds a way.

I also believe in photography fate.  I just made that term up, but sometimes, just sometimes....it is almost as if the stars align and photography perfection happens in such a way that it sends chills down your spine.  Photography fate happened on the afternoon I showed up to shoot Sara and Jared's engagement session.  As we drove around to find the perfect spot to begin shooting.....I see it, I hear it basically screaming my name.   It is not every day that you see an abandoned old pick up truck....oh yeah....a green one left in a field.....during sunset, none the less!  We parked the car....and then it happened.  Magic.    Love. Love. Love. this set of images.
 A big thank you to Jared for not looking at me like I was totally crazy when I asked him to grab the furniture in his living room and bring it with us for the shoot.   :)
 Sara and Jared will be tying the knot in Riviera Maya next May!!!!   They blew me away at their e-session, so I am certain they will leave people speechless as they exchange their vows overlooking the ocean!

Love. The Universal Language : Kim and Manny

Te Amo.  Je t'aime. Ti Amo.  Te quiero.  Taim i' ngra leat. Ich liebe dich.   No matter the language,  It all comes back to that one thing....   Love.   It is the universal language.   One person can fall in love with one person from the other side of the world.  Different languages, different cultures, different traditions,    the chemistry and connection take over the power of words, logic or anything else they knew before.  No words need to be spoken, because real love, real chemistry is felt.  Everything else falls into place where it should.

Meet Kim and Manny.  We decided to incorporate the culture of both of the backgrounds into their engagement session. We started out on Cherokee Street to showcase Manny's Mexican heritage.  Bright colors, the best taco stands in town, margaritas and fun make you want to dance music.   Then we made our way to The Hill.  It is the Italian district in town.  The Hill may only encompass a one square mile area, but when you are there, you know you are there.   The aroma of authentic Italian cuisine immediately stirs up the growling in your tummy.  The two cultures definitely have their little things that make them what they are, but through the differences, one things was clear.   They share a passion for their family, love and life.  Kim and Manny your cultural upbringings have lead you to the love I was able to capture and am so looking forward to capturing at your wedding this weekend.  :)

Simple quality testing for our clients......
 I am hands on, in your face, showing by doing kind of photographer.  I touch.  I demonstrate.  I am such a visual person that for me, this is the only way I can truly depict what I am trying to capture between the two of them.

Soon to Be Mr. & Mrs: Christina & Josh

I met Christina when I was 15. Tenth grades seems like a world away. Throughout the years, we have worked together at random little jobs, had plenty of girls nights, and even though we may not have seen each other all the time we have stayed friends. There is one thing that stands out in my mind about Christina. For as long as I can remember, I have always thought Christina is one of the most beautiful people I know. The girl can pull off any look. Short hair, long hair, blonde hair, dark hair, red hair.......I am sure she could even pull off no hair if she really wanted to. Josh, I know Christina is going to take your breath away as she walks down the aisle towards you on October 22nd. You guys both rocked out your e-session! Here are some of my faves........
