Enter Aidan Shaw. He embodies the the perfect boyfriend. The type of man that every girl wants to marry and every mother wants to raise. I fell in love with him from the moment he made his first appearance in Season 3. Since then, I have LOVED that name!! When we walked into Meghan & Tim's home to shoot their Itty Bitty session and she proudly shared her baby boy's name, I could not help but flashback to Carrie Bradshaw's perfect boyfriend...and smile. Then I saw little Aidan, and his perfect little face and chubby little cheeks made it impossible not to fall in love at first shoot with this beautiful baby boy.

Welcome: Itty Bitty Aidan
Chances are, if you are a female....at some point in your life you have watched an episode or two of Sex and the City. If you are anything like me.....you may have not only seen every episode, but can also re-inact every episode, randomly quote episodes and probably own the entire complete series that comes so perfectly in the bright pink, velvety box. If you are a guy, chances are even more likely that at some point in your life, if you have ever had a girlfriend, that girlfriend has some how made, convinced, pleaded, or bribed you to watch an episode of Sex and the City (Don't act like you didn't like it either).

Welcome Itty Bitty Matthew Jr!!!
I have to leave for the airport in four hours. The night before a flight, my mind is flooded with worries that I may forget something. Whether I am fully packed or not, I always seem to think of something else I need to do before I leave town. My slight fear of flying (which I am working on overcoming) also may play a little role in this insomnia. Tonight is no different. I am awake...so what better to do than to work! :)
Last week we welcomed the newest addition to the LeLe Itty-Bitty family.....I am proud to welcome the adorable Matthew Nolan Jr.!! He is a Superbowl Sunday baby AND my bday eve baby! :) Here is the front of his personalized announcement.....

Some people walk into your life, without you realizing how much they will mean to you one day. That is my favorite part of this life, the unexpected and unplanned. Everyday, my job gives me the chance to meet new people who may or may not change my life. Niki is one of these people. Looking back, the story of how we met is actually pretty funny. She used to live with her sister, Mindy. Mindy had a few people over one particular night, and I ended up sleeping on the couch. Niki came down in the morning, and I woke up, and was all, "Hi!!! My name's Ashley." Keep in mind, this is when I was 18, entirely way too cheerleadery/perky, and quite frankly if today me met 18 year old me....I too would be annoyed. lol :) Niki was all, "Who is this girl in my house?" She did not like me. Shortly after, the first impression wore off, and she got to know the real me. Niki, Mindy (Niki's sister), and I became inseparable. It is really quite humorous looking back, because the three of us were so alike. We started telling people we were all sisters. I was their baby sis. People believed it, like really believed it. How could they not, we had the same laugh, the same sense of humor, and we could finish each other's sentences and thoughts. They were they when I graduated high school and I even transferred colleges so Niki and I could have classes together. :) We spent many a weekends at the lake and countless evenings at Katie Valley....ohhhhh and the times down at Mizzou ("How Come You Don't Call Meeeee, Vanilla Smirnoff, DALO, just for starters....)
Spending all of this time together, there is one thing I always knew....I knew Niki would make a wonderful mother. She always had such a nurturing soul. She was like the mom of our friends, always ready to take care of someone else. Always ready to put someone else's needs ahead of her own. Always thoughtful and full of empathy if someone else was hurting. If anyone ever needed anything, she wouldn't complain or ask questions, she simply acted. Niki is full of love. So full of love. Because of this, I know how lucky Damien, Charles, and Keegan are to have this love. She is as loyal as they come.
Niki, thank you for coming into my life that morning in Mindy's kitchen, whether you liked me at first or not. :) I love you and your little chunker butt, Damien! :)

Elsie Pearl and her BirthStory
There is something so special about my job. I have always loved photography. It was my first true passion. It was truly the first thing I felt like I was good at. I also love people. I am a huge people watcher. I can sit at a cafe and watch people all day. I love watching their interactions, their weird quirks, and I love witnessing love. Love comes in so many forms. Love is there the day of a wedding when a father walks his daughter down the aisle, when a mother sees her daughter for the first time in her wedding dress, and of course when the couple looks into each other's eyes and recites their vows. Love is also apparent in babies. Seeing the dad rub the belly and look adoringly at his wife, witnessing a mother and father go through one of the most important and significant moments in their life as they first lay eyes on and hold their baby for the first time. We are truly blessed to do what we do. There is nothing I love more than being chosen to capture all of these special moments in someone's life. I feel such a connection as I look through that viewfinder. I feel that connection that I make with my clients is shown in the end product. Below is our most recent BirthStory. We were there for Hilari and Micah's Ripe Belly Session, Labor and Delivery, and Itty Bitty Session. There is not enough that I can say about these two. They were genuine, sweet, and beautiful (inside and out). Congrats on your perfect little girl, Elsie Pearl. Here are a few of my favorite pictures and of course....the BirthStory. :)
